Welcome to Mikvat Shalom

Mikvat Shalom is a unique community-based mikvah in Portland, Maine.

We are dedicated to operating a kosher mikvah and to offering education about traditional and non-traditional ritual use to the entire Jewish community.

We are open by appointment only. See Fees/Appointmentspage for more information on making your appointment. For now, please bring your own towels.

Unfortunately, our mikvah is not handicapped accessible. The building is small and old and it is not structurally possible to create access for all. Obviously, we hope we can change this situation in the future.
